- Pak choi belongs to the cruciferous vegetable family and is closely related to Chinese cabbage. It tastes very mild. The pak choi has a white head and dark green leaves with ribs resembling chard. Pak choi is grown on a large scale in Asia, but Pak choi is also grown and harvested in Switzerland from April to November. The plant grows very quickly and can be harvested after 6 – 8 weeks. Pak choi is used as a vegetable for steaming and salad. It can be used in place of chard or spinach. Eat the pak choi as fresh as possible
